Join Mather Homestead for their second annual Garden Tea!
We'll start in the garden with iced tea or, if you prefer, prosecco or wine. Next, we'll head down to the lawn for a hearty tea box prepared by Carolyn's Absolutely Fabulous Events. Then, into the barn for a lecture and discussion with Catie Marron.
After a career in investment banking, Catie became Senior Features Editor at Vogue, where she has been a contributing editor for twenty years. She has written three books, the first two of which explore the value and significance of urban public spaces: City Squares, Eighteen Writers on the Spirit of Significance of Squares Around the World (2016), and City Parks: Public Places, Private Thoughts (2013). Her latest book, Becoming a Gardener, explores how gardens and the process of their creation enrich lives.
While writing her books, Marron launched Good Companies, a curated, online guide to companies that strive to do good while also making a profit.
Ticket prices below cover the cost of the event. We hope you will consider "bringing history to life" by making an additional contribution. All donations will specifically help fund our garden projects! THANK YOU!
