He recorded for Gennett, Banner, Paramount, Pathe, Okeh, Vocalion, Victor and others.His first big hit which sold approximately 35, 000 copies by the end of 1926 was "Death's Black Train Is Coming". Recorded in New York City in November of 1926 "Death Might Be Your Santa Claus" became his next big seller by the fall of 1927.Rev.
